Februar 1917, 1 S. kleines In-4: „Meine liebe Mama, es gab keine Möglichkeit, etwas zu erfahren. […] Mollet hätte hier sein müssen, aber er ist am Vardar in Serbien. Ich habe sehr unter der großen Kälte gelitten. Und konnte keine Briefe schreiben. Meine Arbeit am Vormittag hat mich für den ganzen Tag erschöpft. Hier war alles gefroren.
