A finely painted Russian icon showing Saint Sergei of Radonezh with silver basma, circa 1900 (icon), Moscow, Dmitry Smirnov, 1908–1917 (basma) Tempera auf Kreidegrund auf Holz, verso mit Stoffabdeckung. Sehr fein gemalte Darstellung des Heiligen in Landschaft. Unterer Rand punziert mit Bezirksbeschauadministrationsmarke mit Feingehalt „84“ und Meistermarke „DS“ in Kyrillisch. Stoff mit Fehlstellen. Maße: 12,6 x 7 cm (ohne Öse). Die Malerei lässt darauf schließen, dass es sich um den Umkreis von Wiktor Michailowitsch Wasnezow (1848–1926) oder Michail Wassiljewitsch Nesterow (1862–1942) handelt; vergleiche hierzu auch die Ikone Sergej von Radonesch, gemalt von Wasnezow in der Abramtsevo Kirche, im heutigen Museumsreservat.
