A large icon showing the rare topic of Saint Archangel Michael, Russia, late 18th century Verbund aus drei Holztafeln mit zwei Rückseiten-Sponki, oben horizontal angesetzte Leiste. Tempera auf Kreidegrund. Mittig im Bildfeld steht der Heilige Michael mit goldenem Harnisch, rotem Mantel und ausgebreiteten Flügeln. In Seiner Linken hält er die Sphaira mit Inschrift. Über ihn thront die neutestamentliche Dreifaltigkeit auf einer Wolkenbank mit Cherubim und den vier Evangelistensymbolen. Entouriert von Engelschören mit Posaunen. Darunter schließen sich Fürsten, Erzengel an. Gottvater hält die Waage in Seiner Linken als Sinnbild für das jüngste Gericht. Die Darstellung spiegelt damit die Rolle Michaels bei der Wiederkehr des Herrn, dem Jüngsten Gericht, wider. Kleine Fehlstellen. Maße: 54 x 44 cm – Expertise von Bernhard Bornheim anbei.
