"Lion", György (Georg) Vastagh the Younger (Budapest 1868–1946), probably circa 1890–1910 Galvanoplastik (Hohlguss), warmbraun und blaugrau patiniert. Signiert „g. Vastagh [ifj.]" auf der Rückseite der Plinthe. Schreitender männlicher Löwe, den Kopf erhoben, den Fang geöffnet, auf naturalistisch gestalteter Felsenplinthe; Mähne und Körpermuskulatur fein durchmodelliert. Oberfläche mit altersgemäßem Abrieb an den Hochlagen; am linken Hinterfuß eine punktuelle Patinafehlstelle; Plinthe mit matter blaugrauer Patina und vereinzelten Kratzern. Maße des Löwen ca. 26 × 48 × 8,5 cm, mit Sockel ca. 33 × 48 × 16 cm. Vastagh studierte in München bei Gabriel von Hackl und Syrius Eberle, spezialisierte sich auf realistische Tierplastik und modellierte im Auftrag des ungarischen und ägyptischen Staates; Reiterdenkmäler u. a. in Szeged und Budapest.
