Nigeria, Benin / Owo Seltener Widderkopf "osamasinmi" Holz, Pigmente handgeschriebene Sammlungsnummer "271" auf der Unterseite Widderköpfe oder menschliche Köpfe mit Widderhörnern fanden auf Ahnenaltären hochrangiger owo-Häuptlinge Aufstellung. Sie wurden vor speziellen reliefplastisch verzierten Holzpaneelen platziert (vgl. Abbildung). Wie die Bronzeköpfe des Königreichs Benin wurden die "osamasinmi" bei der ersten Yamswurzelernte beopfert, in der Hoffnung, dass dadurch ihre lebensspendenden Kräfte auf die Menschen übergehen würden. Es wird angenommen, dass die Widderköpfe eine viel längere Tradition haben als die menschlichen Köpfe. Nur wenige von ihnen gelangten in westliche Sammlungen und wurden publiziert: sie sind sehr selten.
