Horst Antes. Dreiundsechzig Offsets. 63 Offsetlithographien, meist farbig. 1965. 29,5 : 21,0 cm. - Beigabe: Horst Antes. Offsets mit einem Text aus dem Allgemeinen Deutschen Reimlexikon von Peregrinus Syntax - Leipzig 1826 - und einem Nachwort von Kurt Martin. Karlsruhe/Nürnberg 1966. Mit sechs fünffarbigen Offsetlithographien. Originalbroschur. - Eins von 450 Exemplaren (Gesamtauflage 600, alle Blätter lose). Lutze 352-414 und 479-483, 485 31,5 : 22,5 cm. 63 Lithographien, 1 Doppelblatt. - Kassette teils leicht verblasst, eine Ecke minimal bestoßen, Deckelschild minimal fleckig. english description: 63 offset lithographs, mostly in color. 1965. 29.5 _ 21.0 cm. Ten sheets signed, all numbered. One of 230 copies. - The first ten prints are signed. - The complete series, together with the signed colophon, loose in the original cloth case. - Printed by Eugen Natz, Karlsruhe, on offset paper; 60 sheets with gray silk-screen printing on the reverse. - Horst Antes was an early advocate—and likely one of the first artists—to champion the recognition of offset printing as an original printmaking technique. It is not uncommon for original works printed using one of these new processes to be mistaken for reproductions. This is true of any segment of the public that has not yet grasped that the ‘originality’ of a print does not depend on the printing process itself, but on the manner of its application; that the attribute ‘original’ does not refer to a technical process, but to the artist’s intellectual achievement”) (quoted from Lutze, p. 8). - Insert: Horst Antes. Offsets with a text from the *Allgemeines Deutsches Reimlexikon* by Peregrinus Syntax—Leipzig 1826—and an afterword by Kurt Martin. Karlsruhe/Nuremberg 1966. With six five-color offset lithographs. Original paperback. - One of 450 copies (total print run of 600, all sheets loose). The cassette is slightly faded in places; one corner is slightly flattened; the label on the cover has minor stains.
