Robert Parker bewertete ihn im Juni 2010 mit 96+. Zustand: IN (Into Neck). Lesbares goldenes Frontetikett mit leichten Abnutzungsspuren. Rücketikett vollständig und lesbar, mit umfangreichen Flecken, insbesondere in der unteren Hälfte. Schwarz-goldene Kapsel intakt. Aus einer Privatsammlung, unter optimalen Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitsbedingungen gelagert. Der Mouton Rothschild 2000 ist ein hochwertiger Jahrgang, der sich durch seine Konzentration, Kraft und Tiefe auszeichnet. Er besteht zu 86 % aus Cabernet Sauvignon und zu 14 % aus Merlot. Das Weingut beschreibt ihn als vollmundigen und opulenten Wein mit dichten, umhüllenden Tanninen, Aromen von reifen Früchten und Pflaumen sowie Noten von Unterholz und geröstetem Kaffee. Sein langer Abgang und seine allgemeine Harmonie erinnern laut dem Château an die Fülle des prestigeträchtigen Jahrgangs 1986.
