ABADEH-Teppich Iran. Drittes Drittel des 20. Jahrhunderts. Technische Merkmale: Wollflor auf Baumwollgrund. Ein bemerkenswerter Teppich mit einem elfenbeinfarbenen, von der Mogul-Kunst inspirierten Mihrab und einem ungewöhnlichen Format. Dieses „maurisch“ geformte Tor zum Paradies ist mit bunten Blumenranken verziert, die eine prächtige, mit üppiger Vegetation geschmückte Blumenvase umrahmen. Die mit Blumen übersäten rubinroten Gewölbe werden von breiten, gitterartigen Säulen getragen, deren Sockel kunstvoll und vielfarbig gestaltet sind. Breites, konkaves rubinrotes Feld mit pflanzlichen Kompositionen. Der Rahmen besteht aus drei Bordüren in Ziegelrot und Altgold, die alle drei mit stilisierten, bunten Blumengirlanden verziert sind.
