MELAYER-Teppich Persien. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts. Wollflor auf Baumwollgrund. Ein sechseckiges, gezacktes Medaillon in den Farben Marineblau und Ziegelrot sowie seine Gegenstücke sind auf einem länglichen, sechseckigen Feld in Elfenbeinfarbe angeordnet, das von vier ziegelroten Zwickeln eingerahmt wird; das Ganze ist mit Blumen und vielfarbigen Blütenranken verziert. Zwei schmale, ziegelrote Gegenbordüren mit Blütengirlanden umrahmen eine bläuliche Bordüre mit einer Abfolge stilisierter, sich entfaltender Blütenkränze in verschiedenen Farben.
