KIRMAN-Teppich (Iran) Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Wollflor auf Baumwollgrund. Eine sehr breite, nicht unterteilte Bordüre in Himmelblau, Altrosa, Altgold, Creme und Elfenbein, bestehend aus Arabesken und Voluten, setzt sich aus bunten Blumensträußen und gewundenen Blütenstielen zusammen. Sie ruht auf einem rubinroten Feld, in dessen Mitte ein imposantes, längliches, mehrlappiges Medaillon in Elfenbein thront, verziert mit einem unentwirrbaren, bläulichen Pflanzengeflecht, das zarte Blütenkränze trägt. Zwei kleine, eckige Kästchen tragen die Signatur. Wunderschönes Dekor, das als „Einband eines heiligen Buches“ bezeichnet wird. H_ 400 cm B_ 290 cm Gutachter: Frank KASSAPIAN
