MYANMAR, Ende des 17. – Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts. Buddha mit großer Flügelkrone. Er sitzt auf einem hohen, abgestuften Sockel und vollführt die Geste, bei der er die Erde als Zeugen heranzieht. Von diesem fragmentarischen Sockel, dessen Verwitterung sehr poetisch wirkt, sind nur noch das Gerüst und ein Befestigungsring erhalten. Die Brust ist mit einem breiten Brustschild geschmückt. Rot und schwarz lackiertes Holz mit vergoldeten Bereichen. Höhe: 145 cm. Fehlstellen am Sockel, schöne natürliche Abnutzungsspuren.
