(19 3/4 x 24 1/2 in.) Aus dem Besitz eines Herrn Ibbetson schuf mehrere Varianten dieser Komposition. Ein ähnliches Beispiel aus seiner Londoner Schaffenszeit (um 1792), das sich früher im Besitz der Leggatt Brothers befand und 2008 bei Christie’s in London versteigert wurde, weist zwar die gleiche Grundkomposition auf, unterscheidet sich jedoch vom vorliegenden Werk hinsichtlich der Anzahl und Anordnung der Figuren. Wir danken James Mitchell dafür, dass er die Zuschreibung auf der Grundlage digitaler Abbildungen bestätigt hat.
