Albuminabzug, aufgewalzt auf Karton. Format: 14 x 9,5 cm. Kartonmaße: 16 x 10,5 cm. Der beige gestrichene Karton rot eingefasst, am unteren Rand links mit geprägter Marke des Studios "Levickij" (kyrill.). Während Sergej Levickij zum persönlichen Photographen von Aleksandr II. und seiner Gemahlin avancierte, erfuhr sein Sohn Lev später dieselbe Ehrung vom jungen Zaren Nikolaj II. und dessen Gemahlin. Deutlich sichtbare Spuren von Montage und Retusche im Reproduktionsprozess (keineswegs seltene Praktiken im Photographen-Geschäft der Zeit). - Leicht fleckig, verso mit handschriftlicher Nummerierung in Tinte (Nr. 3). - Provenienz: Vormals Besitz der Großfürstin Maria Aleksandrovna (1853-1920), der jüngeren Tochter Aleksandrs II. von Russland aus erster Ehe, Herzogin von Edinburgh und Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha; Privatsammlung Schweiz, Privatsammlung Süddeutschland.
