Abgebildet in: Gleeson White, On photographing the nude, 1894, S. 104, sowie als "Hirtenknabe" bezeichnet, in "Die Schoenheit", I 1903, S. 197. - Eine spiegelverkehrte Variante des Motivs (0223) ist zudem abgebildet in: Joseph Kiermeier-Debre & Fritz Vogel (Hg.), Wilhelm von Gloeden - Auch ich in Arkadien, Boehlau Verlag, Köln 2007, S. 158. - Rückenakt eines jungen Mannes von Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), der mit seinem Vetter Wilhelm (Guglielmo) Plüschow (1852-1930) die Passion für "Arkadische Szenen mit hübschen Jünglingen und schönen Mädchen" teilte (Peter Weiermair im Vorwort zu: Guglielmo Plüschow, Erotische Photographien, Köln, Taschen, 1993). - Das ehemals gesteckte Photo mit leichten Druckspuren in den Ecken, minimal fleckig. - Provenienz: Wohl 1890 während einer Italienreise von dem Maler Theodor Her (1838-1892) erworben, der sich ebenfalls der Aktphotographie männlicher Modelle widmete, seitdem im Besitz seiner Familie, Nachlass von Hans von Hoermann.
