Jeweils verso mit Klebeetiketten der "Indian Education" mit Nummerierung und Bildlegenden, 6 der Photos zudem gestempelt mit "Cecil Beaton Photograph". Um 1944. Blattmaße: 24,8 x 19,5 cm und 25 x 20,4 cm. Der englische Mode-, Porträt- und Reportagephotograph Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton (1904-1980) wurde am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs vom britischen Ministry of Information nach Indien und China entsandt. Von den rund 7.000 entstandenen Aufnahmen wurde nur ein Bruchteil veröffentlicht. Einige Photos konnte Sir Beaton für sein berühmtes, im Winter 1945/46 bei Batsford in London erstmals erschienenes "Indian Album" verwenden, u.a. das hier enthaltene "Two schoolgirls absorbed in their studies" (auf S. 38) - andere in seinem Photoband "India", 1945 bei Thacker & Co. in Bombay erschienen. - Das ungestempelte Photo etwas größer, die Bildlegende als Typoskript. - Teils im Randbereich leicht ausgesilbert, Kanten leicht bestoßen. #
