Ackermann, Max. Garten am See (am Bodensee). Tempera auf Leinwand. Monogrammiert unten rechts "M.A." sowie verso auf einem alten Etikett am Keilrahmen betitelt. Um 1935. Keilrahmenmaße: 41 x 60 cm. Gerahmt: 52,50 x 71,50 cm. In Hornstaad am Bodensee entstandene Arbeit von Max Ackermann (1887-1975). Dort hatte er bereits 1932 die Bekanntschaft mit Gertrud Ostermayer (geb. 1894) gemacht, die am Untersee ein Haus plante. Ab 1933 in "innerer Emigration" regelmäßig dort, übernimmt er in ihrem "Ferienheim" den Kunstunterricht für Gäste und siedelt schließlich 1936 ganz noch Hornstaad um, wo er sich dem Höri-Kreis anschließt und Ostermayer heiratet. - Die Leinwand verso mit dem Papieretikett des Berliner Ateliers in Wilmersdorf. - Leicht angestaubt, Malschicht partiell etwas rissig. - Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass der Familie Ackermann.
