Charles Collins, britisch, 1851–1921– Ein junges Mädchen sitzt neben einer Brücke und füttert die Schwäne auf dem darunterliegenden Fluss; Öl auf Leinwand, signiert und datiert „Charles Collins 1891“ (unten links), 45,8 x 35,4 cm. Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Großbritannien. Anmerkung: Charles Collins besuchte die West London School of Art und wurde ein Künstler, der sich auf rustikale Genrebilder in Aquarell und Öl spezialisierte; zudem war er ein begabter Radierer. Collins war Kunstlehrer an der Dorking High School. Er stellte zahlreiche Werke in ganz Großbritannien aus: an der Royal Academy, am Royal College of Art und bei der Royal Society of British Artists. Er hatte neun Kinder, von denen zwei selbst Künstler wurden.
