Eduard Karl Gustav Lebrecht Pistorius zugeschrieben, Deutscher, 1796–1862 – Der Geflügelhändler; Öl auf Kupfer, auf der Rückseite mit einem unleserlich beschrifteten alten Etikett versehen, 23,8 x 19,1 cm. Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Großbritannien. Anmerkung: Pistorius war ein deutscher Maler, der sich auf Genreszenen aus dem Dorfleben spezialisierte und häufig Bauern und Arbeiter in ländlicher Umgebung sowie in rustikalen Innenräumen darstellte. Er war Mitglied der Berliner Akademie. Eine weitere Version derselben Szene, die ebenfalls Pistorius zugeschrieben wird, wurde am 21. September 2007 bei Hampel in München angeboten, Los 64, während eine auffallend ähnliche Komposition von Pistorius, mit einer fast identischen männlichen Figur, die Geflügel in der Hand hält und einen Korb auf dem Kopf trägt, am 5. Juni 2014 bei Kieselbach in Budapest versteigert wurde, Los 31 (Zuschlagspreis 1.170 £).
