MONTSERRAT GUDIOL COROMINA (Barcelona, 1933–2015). „Weiblicher Akt“, 1985. Kohle und Clarion auf Papier. Signiert und datiert in der rechten unteren Ecke. Mit einem Etikett von Sala Gaspar auf der Rückseite. Maße: 47,5 x 25,5 cm; 69 x 47 cm (Rahmen). Montserrat Gudiol begann ihre Karriere in der Kunstwelt in der mittelalterlichen Malereirestaurierungswerkstatt ihrer Familie und widmet sich seit 1950 der Malerei auf Holztafeln und Papier. Im selben Jahr veranstaltete sie ihre erste Einzelausstellung im Casino de Ripoll (Girona). Nur vier Jahre später feierte sie ihr internationales Debüt mit einer Einzelausstellung im Miami Museum und hat seitdem in Spanien, Südafrika, den Vereinigten Staaten, Russland und Kanada ausgestellt; unter ihren Auszeichnungen sticht der Internationale Ynglada-Guillot-Zeichnungspreis hervor. Ihre Werke sind derzeit im MACBA, im Nationalmuseum Reina Sofía, im Museum der Schönen Künste in Bilbao, in den Museen für moderne Kunst in Johannesburg, San Diego, Miami und Flint (USA), bei der Joseph-Cantor-Stiftung in Indianapolis (USA), beim Internationalen Olympischen Komitee in Lausanne (Schweiz), im Kloster Montserrat sowie in der Königlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste von Sant Jordi.
