TRINITAT SOTOS BAYARRI (Sabadell, 1927–2019). „Sitzende Frau“, 1990. Öl auf Leinwand. Signiert und datiert in der unteren linken Ecke. Maße: 92 x 73 cm; 107 x 88 cm (mit Rahmen). Trinidad Sotos Bayarri, eine in Santander lebende katalanische Malerin, malt seit ihrer Kindheit und gewann bereits im Alter von zwölf Jahren den Kinderwettbewerb der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Sabadell. Später studierte sie von 1940 bis 1946 bei dem Meister Antonio Vila Arrufat und setzte schließlich ihre Ausbildung an der Kunstschule Sant Jordi in Barcelona fort, wo sie 1951 ihren Abschluss machte. Anschließend setzte sie ihre Ausbildung in Italien und Frankreich (1952–57) fort und lebte eine Zeit lang in New York. Seit ihrem Debüt im Jahr 1946 hat sie Ausstellungen an bedeutenden Orten wie dem Biosca in Madrid (1957), dem Raymond Duncan in Paris (1959), dem Ward Eggleston in New York (1961), dem Trianón in Madrid (1970) usw.
