Amulett des Thot-Ibis. Quarzhaltige Fayence mit blaugrüner Glasur. Ägypten, Spätzeit bis zur ptolemäischen Zeit, 664–32 v. Chr. H. 3,1 cm Erhaltungszustand: Insgesamt guter Erhaltungszustand. Leichte Verwitterung der Glasur auf der linken Seite. Anmerkung: Darstellt den Gott Thot (Djehouty) in seiner ibis-köpfigen Gestalt. Der Gott mit menschlichem Körper und einem Dibis-Kopf mit langem, gebogenem Schnabel wird stehend und schreitend dargestellt, das linke Bein nach vorne gestreckt, bekleidet mit einem kurzen Lendenschurz (Chendjyt). Rückenstütze mit einer Öse zum Aufhängen; integrierter rechteckiger Sockel. Herkunft: Ehemalige französische Privatsammlung, erworben während einer Ägyptenreise zwischen 1979 und 1980. Seitdem im Besitz derselben Familie.
