Schreibtisch aus Sterlingsilber von Nicolas Chameroi, Gründer der Madrider Silberschmiede unter Joseph I. (1822-23), aus Sterlingsilber Der französische Silberschmied Nicolas Chameroi, Begründer des Madrider Silbers unter Joseph I. Der Autor hat eine Fülle von biografischen Daten über diesen 1762 in Troyes geborenen Goldschmied zusammengetragen, der in Paris studierte und im Sommer 1800, dem Jahr, in dem er die für die Ausübung seines Berufs erforderlichen Prüfungen ablegte, in Madrid weilte. Nach seiner Abwesenheit von 1812 bis 1818 kehrte er nach Madrid zurück und blieb dort bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1828 (?). Dieses Werk enthält einen Katalog von 13 (neoklassischen) Silberstücken, die in verschiedenen privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen identifiziert wurden. Cruz Valdovinos, J. MT.
