Ody Saban (Türkin, geb. 1953) Die Sprache der Steine, 2010 Aquarell, Tusche auf Daolin-Papier. Auf der Rückseite signiert und betitelt. Höhe 75, Breite 55 cm. Rahmen mit Glas. Provenienz: Sammlung Laurent Danchin (1946–2017), Schriftsteller, Essayist und Kunstkritiker, aus Familienbesitz. Geboren in Istanbul, ausgebildet in Israel und anschließend an der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, arbeitet Ody Saban mit Tusche und Aquarell auf fernöstlichen Papieren und entwickelt dichte Kompositionen, in deren Mittelpunkt das Gesicht und der Körper stehen, zwischen Art brut, Außer-den-Normen-Kunst und Surrealismus. Laurent Danchin widmet ihr einen Text mit dem Titel „Le sexe comme si de rien n’était“ in dem Band „Aux frontières de l’art brut: un parcours dans l’art des marges“ (Lelivredart, Paris, 2013, 639 S.).
