Joël Lorand (Französisch, geb. 1962) Blumenfiguren, 2006 Tinte und Bleistift auf Karton. Signiert und datiert. Höhe 72, Breite 40 cm. Provenienz: Sammlung Laurent Danchin (1946–2017), Schriftsteller, Essayist und Kunstkritiker, durch familiäre Vererbung. Joël Lorand war von 1978 bis 1997 Konditor und widmete sich anschließend ganz der Zeichnung. Mit Graphit und Pastell schuf er dichte Werke, die von hypnotischen Gesichtern und hybriden Kreaturen bevölkert sind und in Serien wie „Personnages floricoles“ zusammengefasst sind.
