Zusammen mit demselben Künstler: - „Going for war“, 2008, Mischtechnik auf Holztafel, auf der Rückseite signiert, betitelt, kontrasigniert und datiert. Höhe 40,5, Breite 30,5 cm. Passepartout 43 x 33 cm. - „Snake“, um 2008, Mischtechnik auf Holztafel, signiert. Höhe 48, Breite 35 cm. Amerikanischer Rahmen 52 x 39 cm. Herkunft: Sammlung Laurent Danchin (1946–2017), Schriftsteller, Essayist und Kunstkritiker, aus Familienbesitz. Der in Racine (Wisconsin) geborene Kurhajec ist ein autodidaktischer Bildhauer, der sein Leben zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten, Frankreich und Mexiko aufteilt. In seinem expressionistischen und grotesken Werk vereint er Holz, Knochen, Horn, Gips, Seile und Federn zu Tieren, Totems und zusammengesetzten Figuren. Er gehört zu den 25 Künstlern, die Laurent Danchin in „Mycelium, génie savant génie brut“ (Editions de l’abbaye d’Auberive, Auberive, 2014) versammelt hat.
