Gilbert Descossy (Französisch, geb. 1946) „Famille“, 1996–1997 Sieben Kaugummis, die der Künstler für jede Skulptur in einen Kontext gesetzt und auf eine Platte aufgeklebt hat. Am 23. September 1997 gerahmt und auf der Rückseite gegengezeichnet. Höhe 37,5, Breite 37,5 cm. Herkunft: Pariser Sammlung. Descossy wurde in Arles-sur-Tech geboren und unterrichtete von 1967 bis 1994 Bildende Kunst. Seine ersten Skulpturen aus Mundform schuf er 1970. Anschließend widmete er sich dem gekauten Kaugummi, den er ausschließlich mit Mund, Zunge und Zähnen formte. Seine „Paroles pétrifiées“ umfassen mehr als dreizehntausend Stücke.
