Lidia Syroka (Polin, geb. 1956) Die Knöpfe, 1991 Assemblage aus Sperrholz, Stoff, Leder und Metall. Höhe 46,5, Breite 34 cm. Provenienz: Sammlung Laurent Danchin (1946–2017), Schriftsteller, Essayist und Kunstkritiker, durch familiäre Vererbung. Lidia Syroka studierte Kunstgeschichte an der Universität Krakau. Im Alter von etwa 25 Jahren ließ sie sich in Paris nieder und setzte ihre Ausbildung an der École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts fort. Zusammen mit ihrem Ehemann, dem Maler Jacques Yankel, trug sie eine Sammlung von naiver Kunst, Art brut und Volkskunst zusammen. Sie widmete sich der Collage und der Zeichnung mit Tinte auf handgeschöpftem Papier, das sie aus Asien mitbrachte.
