Chomo (Französisch, 1907–1999) Schornsteinmann, der lacht und weint Bemaltes Blech, zwei Teile. Höhe: 157 cm. Provenienz: - Sammlung Chomeaux, Nr. 230. - Auktion Rouillac, „Chomo 99 Werke“, Tours, 10. November 2024, Nr. 46. Bildhauer und Gründer des „Village d’Art Préludien“ im Wald von Fontainebleau in Achères-la-Forêt, ist Chomo der erste Künstler, den Laurent Danchin entdeckte. Dieser besuchte ihn von 1975 bis 1983 jede Woche und veröffentlichte seinen Bericht (Chomo, Un pavé dans la vase intellectuelle, Simoen, Paris, 1978). Danchin ist zusammen mit Martine Lusardy Kurator der Ausstellung „Chomo, le débarquement spirituel“ (Halle Saint Pierre, Paris, 2009–2010) und anschließend gemeinsam mit Aymeric Rouillac die Ausstellung „Faites un rêve avec Chomo“ (Château, Tours, 2015–2016).
