BERGER (*1744) after SUEUR (*1691), Study of a man’s head in profile, Lithography Daniel Berger (1744 Berlin - 1824 ibid.) after Nicolas le Sueur (1691 Paris - 1764 ibid.): Head study of a middle-aged man, from behind over the shoulder in profile looking to the right, 18th century, Lithography Technique: Lithography on Paper Inscription: Signed on the lower left and right in the printing plate, numbered "A.14" on the upper right. Date: 18th century Description: The portraits impress with their expressive portrayal of faces. The print is a red chalk lithograph. Keywords: 18th century, Romanticism, Portraits, Germany, Size: Paper: 46,6 cm x 30,0 cm (18,3 x 11,8 in), Plate: 34,3 cm x 21,2 cm (13,5 x 8,3 in) Condition: Good condition. The sheet has discoloured, the margins are foxed and dirty. The corners and edges bear lesions. They are creased and bumped.
