Charles Émile Jacque (Französisch, 1813–1894) Scheuneninneres mit Schafen und Hühnern Öl auf Leinwand signiert „Ch. Jacques“ (unten links) 17 1/4 x 27 3/4 in. (43,8 x 70,5 cm) Verkauft zugunsten der King University, Bristol, Tennessee Dieses Los befindet sich in Chicago. Gerahmt: 32 1/2 x 43 x 5 in. Die Leinwand weist eine ältere Unterlage auf. Mäßige Ablagerungen von Oberflächenverschmutzungen und Staub; durchgehendes Netz aus Craquelüren; zwei kleine Farbverluste entlang des rechten unteren Randes; ein kleiner Kratzer in der Mitte links, innerhalb eines Schafs; ein winziger weißer Farbtropfen in der linken unteren Ecke, rechts neben einem Huhn; unter einem stark reflektierenden Firnis. Unter UV-Licht: selektive Reinigung des Firnis um die Signatur herum; Retusche um die Signatur herum sowie an zwei kleinen Stellen entlang des oberen linken Randes; der dicke Firnis verhindert die Sicht auf eventuell vorhandene weitere Retuschen.
