Thomas Couture (Französisch, 1815–1879) Porträt eines jungen Mädchens, 1851 Öl auf Leinwand mit den Initialen „T.C.“ und datiert (unten links) 17 7/8 x 14 3/4 Zoll (45,4 x 37,5 cm) Dieses Los befindet sich in Philadelphia. Gerahmt: 26 1/2 x 23 1/2 x 2 1/2 Zoll Die Leinwand wurde doubliert und die Ränder beschnitten. Geringfügige Ablagerungen von Oberflächenverschmutzungen und Staub. Durchgehend Craquelé. Abrieb an den äußeren Rändern mit einigen damit verbundenen Fehlstellen am linken Rand nahe der Mitte, am unteren Rand sowie an der oberen und unteren rechten Ecke. Unter UV-Licht: selektive Reinigung des Firnis, vor allem um das Gesicht des Mädchens herum. Retuschestriche an vereinzelten Stellen im Hintergrund und im Haar des Mädchens.
