Luxusausgabe dieses schönen indischen Romans, der ursprünglich in Tamil verfasst und von Félicien Champsaur adaptiert wurde, illustriert vom italienischen Maler Fabius Lorenzi (1880–1964) mit 26 (von 28 angekündigten) sehr schönen farbigen Bildbeilagen im Stil von Brunelleschi oder Dulac. Der Text ist mit zahlreichen in Grün, Blau und Rot gedruckten Kopf- und Fußleisten verziert. Limitierte Auflage von 475 Exemplaren; dieses Exemplar ist eines der 380 nummerierten Exemplare auf gefärbtem Lafuma-Velinpapier und trägt die Nr. 198. Ungeschnittenes Exemplar.
