Eine geschnitzte Jardinière mit Keramikfliesen von Hipolyte Boulenger & Cie, Japonismus, Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts. Geschnitztes und ebonisiertes Holz, bemalte Keramikfliesen, Zink. Eine Jardinière auf vier geschwungenen Beinen aus geschnitztem Holz. X-förmige Verbindung mit Baluster. Rechteckiger Pflanzkübel mit eingelegten Keramikplatten. Ein grün lackierter Zinkeinsatz mit Griffen. Die drei Keramikplatten sind mit Szenen im Japonismus- oder Chinoiserie-Stil bemalt: Pagoden, Bambus, Palmen, Pflaumenblüten, Juwelen und Medaillons auf einem dunklen, wolkigen Hintergrund. Die Kacheln wurden von der französischen Firma Hippolyte Boulenger & Cie in Choisy-le-Roi hergestellt. Auf der Rückseite von zwei Fliesen ist in Reliefschrift zu lesen: „H. te / Boulenger / & Cie / Choisy Le Roi / Seine“. Diese Bezeichnung wurde zwischen 1863 und 1920 verwendet. Japonismus, Chinoiserie, Stil Napoleon III., spätes 19. Jahrhundert.
