Jahrhunderts) Runde Platte aus schwarzem Marmor mit Malachit-Einfassung und feinen Mosaikeinlagen Durchmesser 51 cm – Dicke 2 cm In der Mitte sind Plinius’ Tauben in einem Rahmen aus Lapislazuli zu sehen, umgeben von acht trapezförmigen Ansichten Roms, die von einer schmalen Einfassung aus rotem Marmor umrahmt sind; unten in der Mitte sind der Petersplatz und die Vatikanbasilika dargestellt; gegen den Uhrzeigersinn folgen das Flavische Amphitheater, der Tempel des Herkules Victor und der Tritonbrunnen, das Mausoleum der Cecilia Metella, die Tivoli-Wasserfälle, das Pantheon, die Cordonata del Campidoglio, der Tiber und die Engelsburg sowie das Forum Romanum.
