Die kritische Einleitung und die wissenschaftliche Betreuung des Katalogs wurden dem italienischen Kunsthistoriker und -kritiker Roberto Gianoglio (Janus) anvertraut, einer zentralen Figur in Italien für die Verbreitung und Erforschung der Werke von Man Ray und den Surrealisten. Das zentrale Bild des Plakats von 1972 zeigt einen umgedrehten Hirsebesen, der in einen Rahmen oder eine lineare Struktur eingesetzt ist und sich vor einem dunklen Hintergrund abhebt. Es handelt sich um die fotografische Reproduktion eines der berühmtesten „Objekte der Zuneigung“ (surrealistische Ready-mades) von Man Ray, das ursprünglich den Titel „L’Homme Infini“ trug.
