GUERLAIN. Bedeutender Flakon mit dem Eau de Toilette SHALIMAR. 1500 ml. H. 38 cm. Dieses Parfüm, das 1921 entwickelt und 1925 auf der Internationalen Ausstellung für dekorative Künste in Paris vorgestellt wurde, wurde zu Ehren der jungen indischen Prinzessin persischer Herkunft, Mumtaz Mahal, zu deren Ehren ihr Ehemann, der Mogulkaiser Shâh Jahân, das symbolträchtigste aller Mausoleen, das Taj Mahal, errichten ließ und ihr widmete.
