J. war ein flämischer Maler des Goldenen Zeitalters, der sich auf die Darstellung von Landschaft und Stillleben spezialisiert hat. Unser Gemälde ist typisch für seine Produktion von Hafenansichten, die häufig für den französischen Markt bestimmt waren, der sie sehr beliebt war. Wir danken Professor Jan de Maere für seine Bestätigung, dass dieses Werk ein Werk von Peter II Casteels und seinem Atelier ist, nach einer Untersuchung anhand von.
