Märklin mini-club Z gauge sets 8645 brewery cars and 82507 "Fritz Homann", in original boxes Märklin Z gauge, mini-club, two freight car sets in original boxes with dark brown plastic insert, box inscription in each case "märklin" and "mini-club" with article number. 1) Set 8645: five white covered freight cars with brakeman's cabin and brewery advertising, inscribed "Löwen-Brauerei AKT. GES. BERLIN", "Vereins-Brauerei Hannover-Herrenhausen", "HALLER LÖWENBRÄU" with lion coat of arms and "Bürgerliches Brauhaus Ravensburg A.-G.", the fifth car with grey roof and coat of arms. 2) Set 82507: a yellow lorry with white printed tarpaulin, a yellow tank car with brown brakeman's cabin and the inscription "Fri-Ho-Di" and "Butter", a yellow covered freight car with brakeman's cabin and the inscription "FRITZ HOMANN A-G"; together with an insert from the firm Fritz Homann with coloured view of the factory. Played with. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be completely ruled out. Function not tested. Fritz Homann (1848-1914) founded a meat and sausage factory in Dissen am Teutoburger Wald in 1876 and took up the production of margarine in 1882; in 1927 the company was converted into a joint-stock company. Märklin dedicated the freight car set "Fritz Homann" for the mini-club to the margarine works in 1998, the car set "Alte Brauereien" had already appeared in 1992; both sets belong to the one-time series that the Göppingen manufacturer issued from 1990 to 2008. Beer cars were among the early special cars of the railway: in Bavaria the first two cars of this kind entered the stock of the state railway in 1869, on the basis of a contract with Gabriel Sedlmayr of the Munich Spaten brewery. Such cars had ice boxes under the roof or on the end walls, which were filled with ice through hatches; as with the later refrigerator cars, the distinguishing feature of these private brewery cars was the white paintwork. Bespielt.
