Märklin 3346 diesel double locomotive class 236 'Doppeltes Lottchen', gauge H0, orig. packaging Diesel double locomotive of gauge H0 by Märklin, article number 3346, model of class 236 of the German Federal Railway. Two permanently coupled three-axle locomotives, plastic body in black with light grey roofs and running gear picked out in red, lettered 236 405-7 and 236 406-5 with DB emblem. In original packaging, the box with storage marks. The locomotive's function has been tested and is present. Played-with condition. The track section shown serves only for presentation. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The three-axle V 36 was the most-built German diesel locomotive of the war years; the German Federal Railway took over numerous machines and listed them from 1968 as class 236. Because the output of a single locomotive was often insufficient for passenger train service, two machines frequently ran permanently coupled and were partly fitted for one-man operation - in railwaymen's jargon such a pairing was called a 'Doppeltes Lottchen'. An original is preserved in the Bochum-Dahlhausen Railway Museum. Märklin manufactured the model in the years 1984 and 1985.
