DENON, Dominique-Vivant. [DAVID]. Sammlung von 8 kolorierten Kostümtafeln... (Paris, ca. 1800–1850). Acht Schwarzradierungen im Format in-8 (16,4 x 10,5 cm im Rahmen), aquarelliert und mit Goldverzierungen, in einem Einband aus grünem Marmorpapier mit Klappe des Verlegers und einem gedruckten Etikett mit Titel und Auflagenzahl auf dem Vorderdeckel. Schönes Exemplar. Sammlung von acht Kostümtafeln, gezeichnet von Vivant Denon, als Schwarzradierungen gestochen und aquarelliert, teilweise mit Gold akzentuiert. Entwürfe für Kostüme der Volksvertreter, die 1794 vom Comité de Salut public in Auftrag gegeben wurden. Der Maler David entwarf die Vorstudien, die von Denon ausgeführt, gestochen und gedruckt wurden. Ganzkörperporträts in ziviler und militärischer Kleidung, allein oder mit einigen Dekorelementen dargestellt. Diese Uniformen wurden letztendlich nie eingeführt. Auflage aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, limitiert auf 100 Exemplare, dieses hier Nr. 45.
