EIN SITZENDER BURMESISCHER BUDDHA, 12. JAHRHUNDERT, MÖGLICHERWEISE AUS DER SPÄTEN PAGAN-ZEIT Maße: Höhe 12,5 cm, Breite 7,5 cm, Tiefe 4,5 cm Gewicht: 332 Gramm Der Buddha sitzt mit gekreuzten Beinen auf einem Lotussockel, wobei die rechte Hand zur Erde hin ausgestreckt ist und die linke im Schoß ruht. Die Robe verläuft diagonal über eine Schulter, während der Kopf von einer spitzen Ushnisha gekrönt wird. Eine dicke, fleckige grüne Patina bedeckt einen Großteil der Bronze, wobei sandartige Ablagerungen und sichtbare Abnutzungsspuren an der Oberfläche die Gesichtszüge und Details des Sockels mildern.
