DAUM, Nancy – Fassung von Régina BENVENISTI, Goldschmiedin in Paris. Kleine, längliche Vase mit gewölbtem Bauch aus mit Säure geätztem und emailliertem Glas mit Kornblumenverzierung. Auf der Rückseite ist ein Vogel auf einem See glatt dargestellt. Unter dem Sockel in Gold signiert, der Hals mit Goldauflagen. Das Stück wird auf einer Silberfassung mit einem Dekor aus Feldrainen und Blumen präsentiert, die mit der Goldschmiedepunzierung signiert ist. Bruttogewicht: 61,90 Gramm, 18 K, 750°/00 H_4,8 cm L_5,5 cm, Abplatzungen und Risse. Anmerkung: Régina BENVENISTI war in der Rue Martel 8 ansässig, ihre Punze wurde am 4. Oktober 1893 geprägt. Die Wahl des Namens „Ascanio“ mit seinen Initialen ist eine Anspielung auf den Roman über Benvenuto CELLINI, der von Alexandre DUMAS geschrieben und 1843 veröffentlicht wurde.
