BEAUVOISINS, J.: Notice sur la Cour Ottomane. Paris, 1807 Dritte Auflage (die erste erschien ebenfalls 1807). Groß-8vo. Vollständig: Halbtitel, Titel, 110 S. Zeitgenössischer Vollledereinband, leicht berieben, einige Wasserflecken. Insgesamt sehr guter Zustand. Beauvoisins, ein französischer Offizier, war von 1799 bis 1801 zunächst in Tripolis und später in den Sieben Türmen gefangen gehalten. Nach seiner Freilassung blieb er noch einige Zeit in Konstantinopel. Diese schöne und genaue Beschreibung des osmanischen Hofes zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts wird ergänzt durch Berichte über Konstantinopel und Ereignisse in der Levante von 1798 bis 1803 (einschließlich der Utchakoff-Expedition nach Kerkyra).
