Walter Eimer, Süditalienische Stadt, Aquarell von 1959, gerahmt Walter Eimer, 1899-1983, Blick auf eine süditalienische Stadt (Peschici?) am Berg, Aquarell, 47 x 66 cm, signiert, datiert (19)59 u. unleserlich bezeichnet, hinter P.p. und Glas ansprechend gerahmt Zum Künstler: Walter Eimer studierte ab 1918 Malen und Zeichnen bei Wilhelm Oertel, von 1919 bis 1923 an der Landeszeichenschule Karlsruhe u.a. bei den Professoren August Groh und Karl Eyth; durch Albert Haueisen kam er zum Naturstudium; 1923-1929 arbeitete Eimer als Zeichenlehrer an verschiedenen höheren Schulen. Studienreisen u.a. nach Venedig, Florenz, Rom, Sizilien, Paris, Barcelona und Madrid; ab 1929 freischaffender Maler in Mannheim; sein Atelier wurde während des Zweiten Weltkriegs zerstört. Sein Werk ist vom Spätimpressionismus beeinflusst.
