Venise. Il Canal Grande 19. Jahrhundert Öl auf Leinwand Trägt eine Signatur „Turner“ unten rechts und eine zweite unten in der Mitte 152,5 × 244 cm; mit Rahmen: 203,5 × 295 cm Großer, hochwertiger Rahmen aus geschnitztem, stuckiertem und vergoldetem Holz aus der Entstehungszeit Es gab im 19. Jahrhundert zahlreiche Maler, die unter dem Namen Turner tätig waren. Nach dem derzeitigen Stand unseres Wissens lässt sich dieses Gemälde keinem von ihnen konkret zuordnen. Provenance - Privatsammlung, Frankreich Rapport d’étude Erstellt von Sylvaine Brans, Institut für Kunst, Konservierung und Farbe, am 21. Januar 2014 (Nr. 007/122449), das die Entzifferung der Signatur und das Alter der in diesem Gemälde verwendeten Pigmente bestätigt.
