Von Chester A. Arthur als Präsident unterzeichnetes Dokument zur Ernennung eines Postmeisters Teilweise gedrucktes Dokument als Präsident, eine Seite, 17 x 14, 23. März 1883. Präsident Arthur ernennt Alonzo Webster zum „Postmeister in Orangeburg, C. H., im County Orangeburg, Bundesstaat South Carolina“. Am Ende ordentlich mit Tinte von Präsident Chester A. Arthur unterzeichnet und vom amtierenden Postminister Frank Hatton gegengezeichnet. Das unten links angebrachte Goldfoliensiegel und das rote Band sind intakt. In sehr gutem bis gutem Zustand, mit sich kreuzenden Falten, Heftlöchern an den Ecken und einigen kleinen Flecken.
