April 1826. Handschriftlicher Brief an „die Herren Carey & Lee“, vollständiger Wortlaut: „Aus dem beigefügten Gesetzentwurf werden Sie ersehen, dass der Justizausschuss bereits vor dessen Eintreffen in Washington über das Thema, auf das sich Ihr Schreiben bezieht, Bericht erstattet hatte. Der Bericht des Ausschusses war einstimmig und wird, wie ich vermute, die Zustimmung des Repräsentantenhauses finden.“ In sehr gutem bis gutem Zustand, mit geringfügigem Papierverlust an den Rändern, einigen kleinen Rissen an den Rändern und leichten Falten.
