MITTELALTERLICHES WERKZEUG, 10.–15. JAHRHUNDERT Aus Schmiedeeisen, wahrscheinlich die Klinge einer Hacke, einer Spaten oder eines landwirtschaftlichen Werkzeugs, von schöner Machart und in ausgezeichnetem Erhaltungszustand, die fächerförmige Klinge mit verstärkter Mittelrippe und die zylindrische Stielhülse zeugen von einem Schmied, der sein Handwerk perfekt beherrschte und die mechanischen Belastungen, denen Werkzeuge bei intensiver Nutzung ausgesetzt sind, genau kannte. Die schwarze und graue Patina aus alter Oxidation ist gleichmäßig und tief. Dieses auf einem Plexiglas-Sockel präsentierte Werkzeug ist ein authentisches Zeugnis des Alltagslebens und der handwerklichen Techniken im europäischen Mittelalter.
