VENEDIG, 18. JAHRHUNDERT Wasserspender aus graviertem Kupfer In Balusterform, aus getriebenem Kupfer und fein graviert mit einem dichten Dekor aus blühenden Ranken, Blattwerk und Vögeln, im orientalisch anmutenden Stil, der damals in Venedig aufgrund des Handels mit dem Orient in Mode war. Der gewölbte Deckel, der dem Dekor angepasst ist, verfügt über einen ringförmigen Griff und ein Hakenscharnier; zwei seitliche Henkel mit beweglichen Ringen ermöglichen das Tragen oder Aufhängen des Stücks. Ausgestattet mit einem Ausgusshahn, der dazu diente, bei Empfängen Wasser oder gekühlte Getränke auszuschenken. Steht auf einem sich nach unten verbreiternden Sockel. Maße: H. 41 cm
