JAHRHUNDERT Bemerkenswerter Amboss eines Schmiedemeisters Aus massivem Schmiedeeisen, versehen mit der Namensmarke des Schmiedemeisters Fernando Dominguez, eines spanischen Handwerkers, der im 16. Jahrhundert tätig war und höchstwahrscheinlich in Toledo oder Sevilla ansässig war, den Zentren der spanischen Kunstschmiedekunst und Waffenschmiedekunst der Renaissance. Das Vorhandensein einer vollständigen, auf das Werkzeug selbst eingeprägten Signatur zeugt von einem Meister, der von seiner Zunft anerkannt war und stolz auf sein Handwerk war. Signierte historische Ambosse sind heute äußerst seltene Stücke auf dem Markt für dekorative Kunst und antike Werkzeuge – Objekte an der Schnittstelle zwischen Technikgeschichte, Sozialgeschichte und spanischer Kunstgeschichte.
